Read this quote by Tozer this morning, and the below thought came to mind...it had a humbling and awe-inspiring impact on me while also presenting a challenge I want to fervidly accept going forward.
What comes to mind when you think about God? And if it reveals an area in need of spiritual construction, are you willing to do the work?
A parent at Christmas time, who knows they have good gifts prepared and blessings in store for their child; who patiently responds to each question and desire for instant gratification gently and with reminders that waiting is best and they will enjoy what is coming more at the right time than if they had it now, and to trust that they have the childs best interest in mind and it is out of love that they withhold now to bestow later.
A child who questions out of their limited-view, not realizing or appreciating that this love itself is the true gift.
